Rare and retired quality tableware in Portmeirion Botanic Garden is our mainstay. Botanic Garden was designed by Susan Williams-Ellis in 1972 based on antique botanical garden drawings. Each basic plate or bowl had a different flower assigned and then Susan added a variety of insects and butterflies to each motif. There are over 73 different botanical flowers in the Botanic Garden range today. Portmeirion, in addition to tableware or china, offers many ovenware, bakeware, serving ware, and all kinds of basic dinnerware shapes in Botanic Garden.
Portmeirion dinnerware dishes and sets also come in the popular Pomona pattern consisting of many round fruit images. Some Pomona fruits have been retired for years and are very rare. Other modern tableware patterns by Portmeirion are Bird of Britain, Holly and Ivy, Harvest Blue, Enchanted Garden and many more.
